This elegant, luxurious house has a remarkable setting at the helm of Dunnet Head, looking out to 1800 acres of moorland, crystal clear water, secluded sandy beaches, surfing breaks, remote islands and the vast ocean beyond.
The house sleeps up to eighteen guests. We have lovingly designed each of the nine bedrooms, each with Egyptian cotton bed linen, fluffy towels and white bath robes. Our estate features a fully equipped gym, a movie room, a games room, an intimate study and a warm fire in the sitting room.
In 2018 the family fulfilled a multi-generational dream of renovating a family property in the Highlands. Finding the House of the Northern Gate in such a spectacular location and in the village that our Dunnett ancestors left 200 years ago was irresistible. It became a romantic project for us to return the house to its former glory.
